Frank Ho, I only know you in name and that you are a staunch supporter for the Recall Committee. But, since you have my curiosity, I decided to call you out on My Turn.
Way back when! There was a guy by the name of Everett Ho. He was from Hawaii, and came in as a replacement after we got back from the Line (combat in Korea).
Everett reported to me, and I didn't think anything of it at the time, because guys came and a few days later, when we were back on LINE, they got killed. Sure enough, Everett got killed, but by some premonition I ran and jumped in his fox hole. He was dead. A bullet had hit him in the forehead and blew his brains out.
I believe my premonition was that I felt heavily sorry that I hadn't spent more time with him. So, when I got back to Hawaii, I looked up his mother, HONEY, and family to pay my respect. They lived in Kane'ohe, Oahu, Hawaii.
Everett was the brother of the famous Don Ho.
If you are a relative of the Ho's in Hawaii, even though, you hate my guts, I want to extend my moral-respect to Everett Ho. I can never forget him. We from Hawaii felt a kinship and looked out for each other in Korea. The loss of any life caused a pain felt by all.
Keep in mind, I'm not softening you up. You're entitled to your thoughts and feelings, just as I am, and everybody else.
We're on opposing sides, let's keep it that way.

My Turn - 17 - LET THE VOTERS DECIDE THE ELECTION!
BE HONEST! BE REAL!
QUIT LYING TO TRY TO WIN RECALL VOTES!
Cy Sun has stolen NONE of your stupid Recall signs.
Cy and I could care less how many signs you post around town, on your property or on your house!
This is a country which allows FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
Cy fought for those rights for all Americans in the Korean WAR.
Cy was a battlefield soldier in Korea for three straight years, rose up the ranks, refusing six rotations, until the Armistice was signed. He missed World War II by a hair, and was determined to serve his country.
In those three years, he paid by sacrificing his life: seriously wounded three times from bullet wounds (once he got hit with three bullets); lost his left kidney (has the scar to prove it); mashed the right side of his head (lost hearing in his right ear); a bullet is lodged about 1/16” from his spine (a souvenir he has suffered with for the last sixty-one years that cannot be removed). He was in “Rear Hospitals” so many times from grenade concussion he doesn’t even remember. All he knows is that he got sick of laying down doing nothing and walked away, back to combat.
Of the three years, he spent half of it in hospitals in Japan for serious wounds and every time, when he feels he’s recuperated, walked out of the hospital, caught a transport plane and reported to his outfit for battle. Four times he reported in the midst of a fire-fight and took over command. Ask his two remaining reunion buddies. They’ll tell you the truth about him.
Cy has hundreds of grenade shrapnel in his body and thinks nothing of it.
It’s in the record, he captured 21 prisoners in the famous battle of Heart Break Ridge, and didn't give it a thought. Another Officer friend, Dan Williams from K Company, who was not in the attacking L Company, stole the honors (a long story).
Above all, he didn’t give a damn for citations and medals, but he earned his share. For many many many years he never talked about them or displayed them in any manner. (Remember, he even had to prove it as your mayor). Believe me, we had a hard time locating them. (Much of his original paperwork was lost many years ago in a fire in Hawaii and all of the Korean veterans’ records were destroyed in the Defense Department Warehouse in the 1970’s.) Senator Daniel Akaka’s friend is working to find Cy’s missing records.
Why Cy kept on sacrificing his life, is not a mystery. He believes in his Country, THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! He believes in his duty to preserve the freedoms in this great country.
He told me, “Dying is part of the game, and if you’re “chicken” about it, go home.”
Talk to him, he’s not a Hero. When you ask him about his Army career, he talks nonsense.
That’s the 83 years old man you have as your Mayor.
One way or the other, you have a choice. You have the power to clean up Corruption by voting in this Recall and then to vote the Council members OUT in November.
It matters not to us whether Cy is recalled or not. We leave the decision up to the voters. We are not afraid of the outcome of this election.
The Recall Committee seems to feel that they must lie and lie and lie to get their points across and win votes.
Why not let the voters decide what they want?
The voters voted Cy into office in November, 2011.
The Recall Committee has a problem with that election and the outcome of the vote.

My Turn - 16 - Out-of-Control Council
Here's another brain-boggle for you to think about.
In July of last year, the Council passed two Ordinances (Municipal Laws) taking away my power (Ordinances No. 12-1826 and No. 12-1830). Those two Ordinances were beyond a doubt, illegal.
What the Council did was over-ride Washington State Law.
PMC pacific municipal code 2.20.010 Appointment - Duties - states in part - the mayor is authorized to appoint the city attorney.
Ordinance 12-1826 takes the appointing authority from the Mayor & gives it to Council and violates state law by taking away the firing authority of the attorney. (The City Attorney contract states that the Council is the only one with the authority to terminate the City Attorney contract.)
Ordinance 12-1830 changes code to require Council confirmation of all employees except Civil Service which used to say bargaining positions as well. So now they are involved in all hiring including Union Workers!
Hiring and firing is violation of law. Council is only supposed to confirm appointments not be part of the hiring and firing process.
Pacific has conflicts between PMC, RCW's & City policies & procedures.
This is the kind of outlaw Council you have at the helm of our City government.
Why are they doing such a hideous act, right under your noses?
The answer is: They're blindly-obsessed with their almighty power!
Before I became mayor, everything they did was hidden from you, wheeling such out-of-control, stupendous POWER.
The most devastating of it all, is that they were and still are reeling with more power than the United States Congress to the extent that, in facsimile, they over-rode the Constitution of the United States.
They can break any law and make illegal laws, and not give it a second thought. They are the supreme Dictators of the City of Pacific.
I included the documents to prove what I'm saying. As you can see, I vetoed the Ordinances, but the Council over-rode my veto.
The documents might be somewhat hard for you to read and understand, but what you've already read, should be enough for you to grasp the significance of what I'm talking about.
Folks, the decision for the Recall is in your hands. You have two choices, to Recall or not.
If you decide to Recall, that means you want the Corruption in your City government.
If you don't want the Recall, we have a titanic job ahead of us and that is to clean out the Council and put new, clean blood into our City government.
Whatever you decide, seals the fate of our City.
Note: I ran for mayor. I had no idea that the entire governing body was corrupt. I thought that the Council would be working with me - cleaning up the sewage we had in City Hall.
I was wrong!
In fact, I think they are so power hungry, that everyone of them is backing the Recall - "Get that crazy guy out-of-office!"
Rumor has it that two council members are fighting for the position of Mayor even before the election is finished. Rumor has it that John Jones has 4 Council votes and Leanne Guier has three Council votes at this time and BOTH OF THEM WANT TO TAKE OVER AS MAYOR!

My Turn - 13 - Two Major Allegations
This political battle between me, the Council and the Recall Cy Sun Committee, has come to the pinnacle of decisions for you, the voters.
There have been loads upon loads of allegations about me, but keep in mind, allegations are statements offered without proof. But, after making the allegations comes the half-truths and lies to make their allegations believable.
Two allegations were made for reasons to validate a Recall and that has been done by the Committee to Recall Cy Sun.
The two are:
(1) Illegally using Pacific Police Department for personal use;
(2) I did not comply with the court order of filling the positions.
Let's look at the first, Illegal use of Pacific Police Department for personal use.
I'm not going into a mountain of details, only to say that I had one main reason for using the Pacific Police Department. And that is, if City of Pacific property was used to investigate my property in Oregon.
By illegal use of City property, I mean:
using an unmarked police vehicle (for instance a lavender pickup truck);
using City credit card to buy gas;
using City of Pacific Police credentials for an illegal out-of-state investigation;
use of City cell phone; and
charging his time to the City of Pacific payroll.
I've lived in Oregon for 40 years and I think I know every inch of my property, so why should I send a City of Pacific Cop to investigate it. But, if the City of Pacific Cop used City of Pacific property for a self-motivated investigation which took place around the time of March 12, 2012, that is what I intended to find out.
At that time, Sergeant Pickett was in charge of the investigation. Sgt. Pickett master-minded the investigation memo for me to sign. Also, at that time, I didn't know how an investigation memo should be written so the investigation details would be spelled out, such as the use of gas credit card, etc.
Believing in Sgt. Pickett, I signed the memo.
Looking back, I think, I was "set-up"!
The only investigation Sgt. Pickett stated that was done, was to phone a PILOT gas station and ask if they have a surveillance photo system. The answer was "No". At that time I told Sgt. Pickett to forget about any further investigation.
Now it's blown up into 700 acres, and everything, including the kitchen sink is thrown in to accuse me of lying about my property. They made all kinds of false accusations about things I have stated to people in the Oregon area.
What the City of Pacific Cop's investigation intentions were, was to damage me, politically.
If you call the City of Echo and ask about my property, of course they'll tell you I live in the county, that I own 20 acres of scrub land, with an unlivable shack, no sewer and water system. And, the shack is about to fall apart. Twenty acres (the minimum) that was cut-out for a home plat from a large farm area.
If you ask me for more details, I'll tell you it's my private business and has nothing to do with the City of Pacific and my duties as Mayor.
But, of course, I go there to fix things with the intention of someday building a home. But, now it has turned into an avalanche of big lies to get me Recalled!
I'm not going to say anymore. That is a private part of my life.
About not complying with the Court Order for filling vacant positions, You can see for yourself, everything I have tried to do for the community has been blocked by the Council. The latest block was when we needed to fill the city Clerk position.
The Council blocked me with the excuse that they will consider it, after the RECALL.
My guess is that the Council is counting on me to be RECALLED! Then they can go to work, flexing their power, running the City just as they have for the prior past eight years.
The Recall voting is here, you have the power to make the decision.
You are the government of the people, by the people and for the people.
Don't let anyone take that away from you!
I encourage ALL registered voters to vote and make their decisions known. If you agree that it's in your best interest for me to remain in office, please vote no on this recall, because I will happily serve or not serve only by the will of the people!!
June 25, 2013 is the deadline for this Special Election. Stand up and be counted!
